This study determined the parental practices of solo parents with Key Stage 1 learners in a highly urbanized city in the Negros Island Region during the School Year 2026–2027 as the basis for a proposed capacity-building plan. Using a descriptive-quantitative research design, data were gathered from 35 solo parents through a validated and reliable researcher-made questionnaire. Statistical tools included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and the Mann–Whitney U test. Findings revealed that respondents demonstrated a Very High level of parental practices in home and routine management, discipline and values formation, and emotional support. A significant difference was found only in home and routine management when respondents were grouped according to age, with older solo parents obtaining higher ratings. No significant differences were found based on educational attainment, number of children, or family monthly income. Based on these findings, a capacity-building plan was recommended to sustain and enhance positive parenting practices.
